Author supervision
The architect makes sure what gets built is what was designed — site visits, consultations and site log entries.
Even the best documentation does not build itself. Author supervision means the designer is present on site: resolving the contractor's questions, approving material substitutions, checking conformity with the design.
The monthly retainer covers regular site visits, ongoing contact by phone and email, and site log entries wherever they are required.
Experience is unambiguous: supervision pays for itself on the first serious misunderstanding with a contractor.
